While most people do not walk around naked here, it is still a part of the nude beach and some people do walk around and sunbathe naked or with their top off (both men and women). There are many hotels and restaurants along the beach and at the end is the beach of love.
What can you say about a beach that has a spectacular surf, over a mile of nice sand, with bookends at both ends with lovely cliffs and rocks. Plus the bathing suit is optional.
The long and wide Zipolite beach is perfect for hanging out on the beach itself. The sea is rough; there are big waves and rift currents. Sure you can dip in and have fun in the sea as well, but I wouldn’t recommend swimming here unless you are confident you can deal with it. A small part of the coast produces nice waves suitable for surfing. The huts/restaurants/hotels by the beach turn into a man-made spectacle with candle lights at nights. Not one of the best of the world, but it is a must-visit beach if you are nearby. Oh, it is a nude- and gay-friendly beach, by the way.
